Donations to Idaho Law Foundation

The Idaho Law Foundation provides a safety-net for low-income Idahoans who require civil legal services and cannot afford to pay for them. We help students understand the law and our legal system while building positive relationships with members of our legal community.

You are the Foundation. So, thank you for considering a tax-deductible donation to help us continue our important work. You can donate online by selecting the “Donate” button above or download our Donor Form and return it with a check to the Idaho Law Foundation.

We thank you for your support. If you need any further assistance, please contact our Development Director, Carey Shoufler.

Mock Trial Coaches Needed for Nampa Schools

Schools from Nampa participating in Idaho’s High School Mock Trial Competition need attorneys to help coach their teams during the 2022 mock trial season from now until the end of March. All schools looking for attorney coaches have previously participated in mock trial. Attorneys can coach individually or can partner with other attorneys to form coaching teams. The Idaho Law Foundation’s Law Related Education Program will provide you with a coaching manual and can connect you with other attorney coaches for who can serve as mentors for newer attorney coaches. Contact Carey Shoufler if you are interested or would like more information.

Hilarity for Charity – Sep. 16

The Attorneys For Civic Education is holding its annual fundraising event: Hilarity for Charity. Hilarity for Charity is an evening of comedy improv along with appetizers and a hosted bar. The event will be held Beside Bardenay on September 16, 2021, from 6:30 to 9. Tickets are available for $20 or $10 for students on ACE’s website: Funds raised benefit Idaho’s K-12 civics education programs including Mock Trial, Youth in Government, and We the People.

For those unfamiliar with ACE, it’s mission is to increase and sustain the opportunities for civics education in Idaho’s schools in order to ensure that Idaho’s citizens will have a solid understanding of the Constitution, the rule of law, and our form of government. Through volunteer outreach and education, ACE is committed to supporting a quality civics education for Idaho’s young people. Without that knowledge, democracy cannot succeed.

If you are interested in helping ACE to fulfill this mission, please contact the current co-chairs Kolby Reddish or Texie Montoya.
