Idaho Supreme Court Admission Requirements
As a result of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Emergency in the State of Idaho, the Idaho Supreme Court entered various orders which stated that congregating outside courtroom doors was discouraged and social distancing inside the courtroom was encouraged. Therefore, the Idaho Supreme Court will be holding swearing-in ceremonies in several sessions on October 2, 2020. Ceremonies will be held in the Idaho Supreme Court Building Courtroom, with approximately 15 admittees at a time taking the oath. The sessions will occur at 8:45 a.m., 10:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 1:30 p.m., 3:00 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. See the following schedule for your appointed time in which to be sworn in. Please arrive at the Idaho Supreme Court Building first floor lobby 15 minutes prior to the assigned time and await instructions.
8:45 a.m. A – C
10:15 a.m. D – G
11:45 a.m. H – K
1:30 p.m. L – O
3:00 p.m. P – S
4:15 p.m. T – Z
Only the admittee will be allowed in the Supreme Court building. Family and friends will not be allowed to enter the building. Idaho Public Television will broadcast each session online, and the public can watch each session “live” on the Idaho Supreme Court website at https://www.isc.idaho.gov/2020-Admission-Ceremony. Then, click on Watch Live! for each particular session. Additionally, each session will be archived and saved to the Idaho Supreme Court website.
When you come to the Court, you must have your admission fee ready. The fee may be paid by either a check made out to Idaho Supreme Court in the amount of $25.00, or may be paid in cash; but, you must bring exactly $25.00, as we will not be able to make change for you.
The Supreme Court will not permit payment via credit card at this time, and the Idaho Supreme Court does not have ATMs.
