Idaho State Bar recognizes Idaho Falls area members at Annual Resolution Meeting

The Idaho State Bar will be recognizing four of their Idaho Falls area members during the Annual Seventh District Bar Association Resolution Meeting to be held at the Marriott Residence Inn (635 South Broadway) in Idaho Falls on Monday, November 13 at Noon.

  • Kimberly D. Evans Ross will receive the Professionalism Award, given to at least one attorney in each of Idaho’s seven judicial districts who has engaged in extraordinary activity in his or her community, in the state, or in the profession, which reflects the highest standards of professionalism. Evans Ross with Battelle Energy Alliance, LLC, in Idaho Falls attended law school at the University of North Carolina and has practiced law in Idaho for 13 years. She shares “never lower your standards. No matter how hard the job gets, you’ve got to be able to live with yourself at the end of the day.”

 

  • Two individuals will receive the Denise O’Donnell Day Pro Bono Award, presented to the person(s) from each judicial district who have donated extraordinary time and effort to help clients who are unable to pay for legal services.
    • Ammons City Councilman Sean J. Coletti with Hopkins Roden Crockett Hansen & Hoopes, PLLC, spent 30 hours assisting a man in obtaining guardianship over his young nephew. Coletti is also a regular volunteer at the wills clinic for veterans in the Seventh Judicial District. Coletti graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
    • Megan J. Hopfer with Beard St. Clair Gaffney PA in Idaho Falls provided 20 hours of pro bono assistance to an area non-profit that serves low income and homeless clients. In addition to her legal work, Hopfer is president of the Idaho Falls Youth Arts Centre. She graduated from the University of Idaho College of Law.
