Finance Manager
This position serves as both organizations’ primary liaison with their outsourced finance and accounting consultants. The position coordinates financial workflows, ensures timely and accurate exchange of information, and administers employee benefits. While the outsourced consultant performs accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliation, month-end close, and financial statement preparation, the Financial Manager is responsible for facilitating the information and approvals necessary for those functions. The position reports to the Deputy Director.
The position requires a minimum of five years of accounting, finance, and administrative experience as well as knowledge of bookkeeping, budgeting, reporting, internal controls, and benefits administration. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite is required. Candidates must be comfortable with both clerical and strategic tasks. The position requires the ability to hit the ground running, sustain a fast-paced workflow, manage multiple concurrent projects, and maintain strict confidentiality. It requires the ability and willingness to use and adapt to rapidly changing technology as part of an ongoing organizational transformation and to drive continuous improvement initiatives. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field is preferred.
This is an on-site position that requires consistent daily attendance during core business hours but may have the ability to work remotely some days once proficiency is attained, subject to the needs of the organization. The annual salary for the position is $60,000 to $80,000 depending on experience.
