Please join Dr. Kevin Powell, licensed psychologist, trainer, and consultant, as he and other experts share family-focused and strength-based practices to promote resiliency and collaboration with youth, families, and juvenile justice stakeholders.
Participants will learn strategies to:
- Empower families to reduce out-of-home placements and child protection expansions through IJR 16 Screening Teams;
- Increase collaboration between youth, families, the court, agencies, and community juvenile justice stakeholders;
- Reduce detention placements by aligning with IJR 17(e) best practices; and
- Improve IJR 16 Screening Team facilitation and effectiveness.
This multidisciplinary summit is designed for all juvenile justice stakeholders. Please share with other stakeholders within your judicial district. Watch for more information, including the Zoom meeting link, coming soon.
Idaho State Bar MCLE, CEU, and POST credits will be available.
The National Association of Counsel for Children (NACC) is looking for State Coordinators to continue its expansion. Idaho is not yet represented. The deadline is April 5, 2021.
