Darrel W. Aherin set to receive Idaho State Bar Distinguished Lawyer Award

Boise, Idaho-July 10, 2017 – Darrel W. Aherin, resident of Genesee, will receive the Idaho State Bar’s highest honor, the Distinguished Lawyer Award on July 12 during the Idaho State Bar
Annual Meeting in Moscow. Aherin is a partner in the law firm Aherin, Rice & Anegon in Lewiston. He is a member of the Lewiston Clarkston Chamber of Commerce and is a Planning & Zoning Commissioner for Genesee. From 1997 to 2003, Aherin served as the Bar representative to the Idaho Judicial Council. He is a past president of the Idaho Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA) and an Idaho representative to the Board of Governors of the American Association for Justice. In 2005, he received the James J. May Trial Lawyer of the Year award from ITLA. Aherin is a graduate of the University of Idaho College of Law.

The Distinguished Lawyer Award is given to an attorney (or attorneys) each year who has distinguished the profession through exemplary conduct and many years of dedicated service to
the profession and to Idaho citizens.
