September 10, 2025 – A list of successful applicants will be available on this web page after 3:00 p.m. Mountain Time. Results will also be available by telephone after 3:00 p.m. Callers will be given either a pass or fail response. Please call 208-955-8885 or 208-955-8884 to obtain your results by phone. Confirmation letters will be mailed to all applicants on September 10, 2025. Idaho does not release individual essay scores for successful applicants.
All successful applicants will receive an email with a link to complete their Idaho State Bar licensing online before being sworn in and admitted. You must continue to update your application prior to admission with any relevant information that would change any of the responses or supplemental information in your application. You can find information about the joint Admission Ceremony conducted by the Idaho Supreme Court and U.S. District Court for the District of Idaho HERE. Please note that commencing on the date of admission and within 12 months thereafter, a newly licensed Idaho attorney who has actively practiced law for fewer than three (3) years prior to admission to the Idaho State Bar must complete the New Attorney Program. I.B.C.R. 402(f)(3). The New Attorney Program will be held as a live, in-person event only on September 26, 2025. Information for Unsuccessful Applicants
Unsuccessful applicants may obtain an electronic copy of their examination, scores, and the grading and drafting standards by contacting Tasha Sorrells-Landeros. Requests for materials will be handled in the order they are received and we will respond as quickly as possible. Applicants who simply want to review these materials may make an appointment with the Associate Director, Maureen Ryan Braley. She can answer questions in-person, by phone, or arrange a zoom meeting.
To sit for the next bar exam, a Reexamination Form along with the correct reexamination fee must be submitted to the Idaho State Bar by April 15. If you have not received a link to the Reexamination Form, please contact Tasha Sorrells-Landeros. Please refer to Idaho Bar Commission Rule 218 for specific information regarding re-examination. If you will not be able to sit for the next bar exam but want to keep your application current, please contact Tasha Sorrells-Landeros.
Legal Interns – An unsuccessful applicant’s limited license to practice as a legal intern is automatically canceled the day the bar exam results are released, see Idaho Bar Commission Rule 226 (e)(2). Please contact the Admissions Department at (208) 334-4500 with any questions.
