The CLE portion of the meeting begins with the Plenary Session on Thursday morning followed by two days of compelling CLE topics. With a 24/7 media cycle, your case may explode overnight into a media frenzy. Small towns in Idaho have had this happen all too frequently in the past few years. Public interest in true crime, trends, or politics may result in reporters chasing down a story about your case asking you to be ready to speak at a moment’s notice. This presentation will address the specific ethical rules that govern what lawyers can legally and ethically say to the press. Incorporating the IRPC, this program will cover permissible statements both in and out of the courtroom, on and offline, and will touch on how you can respond to unfair adverse publicity.

2024 Annual Meeting Scholarships Available – Deadline June 3
The Idaho State Bar is offering a limited number of scholarships to the 2024 Annual Meeting, July 17-19, at JUMP in Boise. The scholarships will include full registration, tickets to the social events and per diem up to $100 per day for travel and lodging. The scholarships are designed to provide assistance to those attorneys who, due to financial or professional circumstances, would otherwise be unable to attend.
To apply for scholarship, please fill out this 2024 Annual Meeting Scholarship Request Form. If you have any questions, please contact the ISB Commissioner who represents your judicial district or the ISB Program and Legal Education Director Teresa Baker.
The Fourth District Bar, the Sixth District Bar and the Idaho Women Lawyers are also providing several scholarships. If you are a member of any of these organizations and would like to apply for one of their scholarships, please use the same Scholarship Request form and the applications will be forward to the District Bar officers for their review.
Deadline for scholarship requests is Thursday, June 3, 2024.

Parking Information for JUMP
Paid parking is available on the 3rd and 4th levels of the JUMP parking garage or in Simplot’s below ground parking garage, both accessible from the Myrtle Street entrance located between 11th and 9th Streets. Please note, the below ground parking garage is only available after 4PM until 6AM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Credit/debit cards accepted only.
Parking Garage Rates are $3/hr. with a $15 daily max. .
Public parking in the gravel lot at Myrtle & 11th St. is $5 per day plus a $.50 processing fee and is paid in advance via the phone app ParkMobile. Make sure you are parking in a proper space and centered on the block. See the map below.
