Mock Trial Results & Awards

Each year, mock trial teams compete in regional competitions. A minimum of 12 teams advance to the state competition with the top team representing Idaho at the National High School Mock Trial Championship.

Please note: Due to the pandemic, there was no Idaho High School Mock Trial State Championship in 2020.

Team Results

Each year, mock trial teams compete in regional competitions. A minimum of 12 teams advance to the state competition with the top team representing Idaho at the National High School Mock Trial Championship.

Outstanding Attorneys & Witnesses

During the initial four rounds of the state competition, each judge can recognize their first and second place choices for outstanding individual presentations by attorney and witnesses. The top 10 students selected for these awards are recognized during an awards ceremonies.

Civility & Ethics Award

The Civility & Ethics Award is was created to highlight the importance of civility and professionalism among teams participating in mock trial. During the state competitions teams observe and interact with each other and submit their nomination for the award. Teams may take into account the behavior of students, coaches, spectators, and others associated with a team when making a nomination for this award.
