Membership Status Descriptions:
Active: any person who is not a judge and who is licensed to practice law in the State of Idaho and is engaged in the active practice of law in this state.
Out-of-State Active: an active member who does not reside in Idaho.
Affiliate: any person who has been admitted to the Bar of the State of Idaho but is not engaged in the active practice of law within the State of Idaho and who has no voting rights in matters concerning the regulation of the practice of law in this state.
Emeritus: a nonvoting member of the Idaho State Bar licensed under terms and conditions of IBCR 223 with a limited license to represent clients on a pro bono basis under the supervision of an approved legal assistance organization.
House Counsel: a person who has been admitted, without examination, to engage in the limited practice of law as an employee, under an exclusive services contract, of a company, association or corporation which does not provide legal services to the public, pursuant to IBCR 220.
Judge: a member who is a judge in the state or federal courts in Idaho.
