Reciprocal Admission

Some jurisdictions may have reciprocity with Idaho.  Click Here for more information on reciprocal admission.

All other applicants must sit for the bar exam, which consists of one and one half days for the essay portion and one day for the Multistate Bar Examination (MBE). To transfer your MBE score from another jurisdiction and have it apply to the Idaho Bar Exam, you must have received that score within 25 months from the date of the applicable exam, provided that the transferring jurisdiction is willing to transfer your score directly to the Idaho State Bar. Attorney applicants who have been actively practicing law for five of the last seven years have the option of waiving the MBE portion of the exam.
